Compliance

Quality, Compliance & Technical Documentation

What every Zhivon claim is based on: the governing enterprise standard, declared performance data, intended-use boundaries and document review records.

Standards & Verification

Governing standards

Zhivon veterinary thermoplastic splints are manufactured and inspected in accordance with the enterprise standard Q/WHZH 001-2026《宠物用热塑记忆性夹板(保健护具)》 (Thermoplastic Memory Splints for Pets — Health Support Products), publicly filed by Wuhan Zhiheng Technology Co., Ltd. on 2026-04-22. Safety requirements reference GB/T 43839-2024《伴侣动物(宠物)用品安全技术要求》 (Safety technical requirements for companion animal (pet) products). Copies of both documents are available to professional customers on request.

Product classification: a health support product, not a medical device. Zhivon does not position, register or market the splint as a medical device, and no statement on this website is a veterinary diagnosis, treatment or cure claim.

Test Data

Declared performance properties

The following properties are declared and verified in accordance with Q/WHZH 001-2026. Full test methods and reports are available on request.

PropertyDeclared valueMethod / note
Softening temperature60–65 °CMaterial property per Q/WHZH 001-2026; daily operation uses ~70 °C water (~30 s) or hot-air dryer (60–90 s) because the bath cools during molding
Setting time≈10 minutes at 25±2 °CSets rigid after molding; reheat the same sheet to adjust fit within a course
Tensile strength≥10 MPaASTM D638
Flexural strength≥15 MPaASTM D790
HardnessShore D ≥50After setting
Dimensional stability−10…40 °C, RH 10–90 %Stable within stated range
Surface & chewing resistanceSaliva-resistant, no shedding under light chewingFinished sheets carry a food-safe bittering agent that deters chewing
Storage / transportStore 0–30 °C, RH ≤80 %; transport below 40 °CKeep sheets flat, away from direct heat and sunlight

Sheet dimensions: 60×100 mm / 80×120 mm; thickness 2.5±0.5 mm (4 models). See the product page → for the full specification table.

Clinical Use Boundaries

Intended use & limitations

  • Intended use: adjunct external stabilization and support for dogs and cats — limb strains, contusions and fracture adjunct support, plus spine, rib and tail support — applied and adjusted under professional assessment.
  • Professional judgment required: the splint supports, it does not diagnose or treat. Veterinary examination must guide whether splinting is appropriate and how long it stays on.
  • Single pet, single course: each sheet is for one pet and one course of treatment. Re-molding is intended to refine the fit of the same sheet during that course — not reuse on another pet or course.
  • After the course: remove the splint and dispose of it as ordinary household waste per local regulations.
  • Not chew-safe indefinitely: the bittering agent deters chewing; animals should still be supervised, and a damaged or chewed splint should be replaced.
  • Storage: unused sheets 0–30 °C, RH ≤80 %, away from heat sources; keep out of reach of pets and children.
